VKV-Hurda: Schools Are Closed, Learning Continues...
Online zoom classes were conducted, Class Whatsapp/Broadcast group were formed and study material was shared with the students during COVID-19 lockdown.Morning prayers, Shloka chanting/yoga, other physical activities were conducted from April 15th as it took nearly two weeks to get acclimatized with the e-learning strategies. To Break the monotony, music classes (Sargam and Tal – Prayer etc. were conducted by Sri Neeraj Tiwari and Painting Classes by Sri Laxyapal Singh.
VVV MARAL: Educational Tour
Students made a memorable trip to Agnihotra ashram at Ladvi, Maheshwar on the occasion of Swami Vivekanand Jayanti and learned about this unique process. Agnihotra reduces stress, leads to greater clarity of thought, improves overall health, gives one increased energy, and makes the mind full of love. They also got acquainted with forest culture and its development.
Graphite School: Life Skill Education
At Graphite School, we have adopted two programs which were; Life Skill Curriculum by Eternal Ganges from Pre-primary to 5th class & another one is Awakened Citizen Program by Ramakrishna Mission from 6th - 9th class. During lock down period Life skill learning was continued but In primary section, students were motivated to perform some activities e.g. helping parents in their day to day work, folding of bed, tree plantation and caring of plants, also caring of pets at home.
Graphite School: Art Integrated Learning (AIL)
Art Integrated Learning is a teaching- learning model which is based on learning ‘through the arts’ and ‘with the arts’. As an impact of an AIL session given by Dr. Pawan Sudhir during COVID-19 in class I to III, an activity was conducted by teachers among students. This activity was about depicting various animals, patterns, creatures with the help of leaves and other parts of plants.
Graphite School: Visit of Shri LN Jhunjhunwala
Chairman Emeritus of LNJ Bhilwara group, Syt L.N. Jhunjhunwala and Mrs. Shashi Agrawal visited the Graphite School accompanied with Dr. B.R. Mehta, Director IIT Delhi and Ms. Rashmi Baveja Principal, Vivekanand School, Maral on 25th January 2020. The purpose of the visit was to see the working of the school and to attend the demonstration session of Coding learning for students.
VKV Hurda: Air Rifle Shooting Competition
A District Level Air Rifle Shooting Competition was held on the 2nd and 3rd August, 2019. From
VKV Hurda, 26 students participated in the tournament and won Nine Gold, Nine Silver and Six
Bronze Medals. The performances by Anjali Gurjar of Class 9th and Gaurav Gurjar of Class
10th were commendable!
VKV-Rishabhdev: Educational Tour
An Educational tour to Nana Bhai Park and Bird Century was thoroughly enjoyed by the LKG
and UKG classes at Dungarpur on 26th October 2018. Next day, on 27th October 2018,
students of classes I to V were taken on a tour of Udaipur city to visit the Fish Aquarium,
Biological Park and Gulab Bagh to gain some valuable insight on these historic places.
VVV Maral: Excursion for Boarders
Maral school organized an excursion for school boarders. Students were taken to the beautiful Indore city for an exciting outing on 25th August 2019. They watched the inspiring movie Mission Mangal, got acquainted with wildlife and its various characteristics on their visit to a zoo and concluded with a sumptuous lunch at a popular eatery joint in the city.
VVV Maral: ISRO Scientist Visit
A seminar led by Mr Ravi Kumar Verma, a renowned scientist from Nimar, working with ISRO,
was conducted on 6th September 2019. He obligingly oriented the students with intricacies of
Chandrayaan Mission, how he succeeded at becoming a scientist and got involved in the
launching of Chandrayaan2 Mission. He also gifted the students with informative charts related
to the solar system, missions of Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan.
Graphite School: Student's Outreach Program
An Outreach Program for High School Students to inculcate a better understanding of science
was conducted by IISER (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research), Bhopal from 6th
to 11th May of 2019. Ten students from Graphite School attended this program including
lectures by eminent scientists like Dr Vinay Bajpai, Dr Neeta Kalra, Dr Sarika Singh, and Dr
Madhumita Mukherjee, on topics such as periodic table matter, motion, cosmos, apple to string
theory, cancer resistance insight from long-lived mammals, etc
VKV Hurda: Fit India Movement
The fit India Movement was a great source of motivation for our students as well as staff. Inspired by the program, our school started Yoga, Mass P.T. and various games in a daily routine to keep students fit, healthy and active. It was launched by our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, on August 29th, 2019.
VKV-Hurda: Best Out of Waste Workshop
A six-day workshop on ‘Best Out Of Waste’ was conducted from 22nd to 27th April 2019 under
the guidance of Smt. Yadav and Smt. R. Saxena wherein 36 students of classes 6th to 8th
participated. Students collected and transformed waste paper such as Newspapers, Old Books,
Used Notebooks, etc. to beautiful carry bags, photo frames, cards, useful pencil holders and
other stationery items.
VKV-Hurda: Flute Recital Workshop
The Flute Recital workshop was organised at VKV, Hurda school premises. Shri Naresh
Jangid, renowned Flute player from Jaipur taught ‘Sargam’ on the flute to students. Overall, 19
students attended the workshop and learnt Sargam. It was great to see that our students were
thoroughly enthusiastic about traditional music and they wholeheartedly enjoyed the flute
practice session
Graphite School: Geeta Gayan Pariksha
Geeta Gayan Pariksha was conducted by Chinmay Mission. At the city level, 65 students were
selected out of 610 participants for the next-level competition to be held at Chinmay Mission
Ashram, Saket Nagar, Bhopal. Through the competition, students were motivated to learn Gita
Shlokas and learnt about the values and ethics that they carry. Five of our students won the first
prize, five students won the second prize and seven students won the third prize in this
competition.
VVV-Maral: Science Olympiad Foundation Winners
Many students had the opportunity to showcase their talent at SOF Science and Mathematics
Olympiad held at Maral Sarovar School. In the Science Olympiad competition, VVV Maral
students won 10 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals. In the Mathematics Olympiad, they won 11
gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze medals.
Graphite School: Career Guidance Training
Career guidance training by CBSE was conducted in Graphite Higher Secondary school (RND
Centre HEG Ltd. Mandideep, Raisen, MP), wherein 10 of their teachers participated and 30
other teachers participated from across MP. The training focused on the importance for the
teachers to understand the various career opportunities related to their subject and help
students choose a field that is in tune with skills and their job expectations, to help them to
succeed in life. The resource persons for the training were Mr Mithun Vishwas, Principal New
Era Hr. Sec School Dewas and Mr Nishchal Gupta, Principal CHT Girls School Bhopal.
VKV-Hurda: Science Exhibition
Science exhibitions were respectively organized at VKV, Hurda School, for students of class VII to XII and students of class III to VI. The exhibition was organized on 15th December 2018 and 18th December 2018, in which students prepared Projects and Working Models on different topics for these science exhibitions; some of them were innovative, in line with today's scientific world.
