VVV MARAL: Sports Workshop
Career Guidance Training

Sri Aurobindo Ashram-Delhi Branch organized a 6 days online workshop on Integral Education with specific emphasis on physical education and sports activities from 21 to 26 September, 2020 for Sports and Primary teachers from Nursery to Class 5 to impart a deeper understanding of integral education. The workshop was designed to be very comprehensive and integrated to cover all key aspects for primary school education, which can later be imparted to school students by the teachers.

VVV MARAL: Teachers Training

VVV Maral has organized a workshop on 'Teachers Motivation and 21st Century Smart Skill', for educators. The resource persons, Mr. Gaurav Singh Solanki and his colleague Mr. Gourav Sharma discussed about the role of teacher in student's life and being teacher How a teacher should be? The main objective of the workshop cum discussion was to understand the competency needed to be built throughout the school journey of a student to make him/her develop the right set of skills.

VKV-Rishabhdev: Zero Investment Innovation in Education

Shri Aurobindo Society and MHRD facilitated 12 innovative teachers from Rajasthan and about thousand from all over India at IIT Delhi after discovering the innovative ideas incorporated by the selected teacher in their regular classroom teaching. Mrs. Nisha Jain TGT English of VKV Rishabhdev was short listed for the same. She was honoured by the honourable Dr. Ramesh Pokhariyal “Nishank”, HRD Minister of India.

Graphite School: CBSE-Happy Classroom Workshop

A Happy Classroom workshop was conducted in Red Rose School, Lambakheda on the 23rd December 2019. Five teachers of Graphite School, Ms. Keerti Khapre, Ms. Chandrakala Mandloi, Ms. Anshu Shrivastava, Mr. Nitin Dasondhi and Ms. Anamika Mishra attended the workshop which was conducted by resource persons; Ms. Kala Mohan and Ms. Subrata Banerjee. The Workshop was conducted in three segments; Emotional Intelligence, Behavior and Misbehavior & Ways to Foster Happiness in Classroom.

Graphite School: Teachers Enrichment Programs

To enhance professional development digitally, technology enabled teacher development programs/training were conducted in a very wide variety of forms with concomitant advantages of convenience, scalability and adaptability. All the Graphite School teachers were guided and informed about various webinars conducted by CoE, CBSE and other private/public forums.

The teachers of LNJ Group Schools commit to continuous learning and enhancement of teaching pedagogy and quality. Therefore, a 3-day workshop for the teachers was organized at Vivekanand Vidya Vihar, Maral Sarovar from 20 th - 22 nd December 2019. The Neuro Linguistic Programming based capacity building workshop was an eye opener to the teachers for knowing their strengths and weaknesses through outbound sessions. Teachers experienced multiple learning styles such as Visual, Auditory & Kinesthetics and gathered the learning for understanding varied learners in a better way and giving them appropriate learning experiences.

Rupam Shah, an active educationist and Mr. Ashok Arora conducted sessions on Lesson Planning and Bloom's taxonomy to enable teachers to enhance teaching-learning quality in classes. The workshop was focused on improving teacher's professionalism, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic learning sessions which acted as a catalyst for teachers in teaching and its effectiveness in the school.

TEACHER'S TRAINING PROGRAM ON LESSON PLANNING

The teachers' training workshop was conducted at Aurobindo Ashram, New Delhi from 11th to 15th June 2019. This Five‐day program was attended by 54 teachers, and 4 principals from all the four schools of the LNJ Bhilwara Group. The objective of the program was to enhance the skills of lesson planning and implementation of teaching strategies for active classroom learning.

The resource person Ms. Rupam Shah, an active educationist and Mr. Ashok Arora conducted sessions on Lesson Planning and Bloom's taxonomy to enable teachers to enhance teaching-learning quality in classes. OUTDOOR ADVENTURE WORKSHOP

Vivekanand Vidya Vihar, Maral School organized a one-day Outdoor Adventure Workshop for school staff members at Safari Activity Park, Indore on 19th April 2019. The ‘out of box’ workshop was conducted by Mr Rakesh Jain (NLP Coach). Every moment of the workshop was loaded with good learnings, which enabled all the staff members to take lives towards new dimensions.

Learning from the workshop can be summarized in these points - Remove Ego - It's our ego which stops us to move forward and to make efforts to achieve the goals.

Nothing is Impossible - By making efforts, we can do anything and everything. Teamwork - Alone we can do little, together we can do so much. We learned the meaning of this thought practically by playing team games. We realized that if we work together and help each other, we will achieve our goals fast. Give100%, play safe, be fair - This is the SUCCESS MANTRA. These three points are the keys to success. We learned to imbibe these in our nature. Mindset - We should think positively and have a growth mindset because positive aura influences our surroundings.

Career Guidance Training

Career guidance training by CBSE was conducted in Graphite Higher Secondary school (RND Centre HEG Ltd. Mandideep, Raisen, MP). The training focused on the importance for the teachers to understand the various career opportunities related to their subject & to link their subject to the world of work and help students choose a field that is in tune with skills and their job expectations, which helps them to succeed in life.

The resource persons for the training were Mr. Mithun Vishwas, Principal New Era Hr. Sec School Dewas, and Mr. Nishchal Gupta, Principal CHT Girls School Bhopal. Around 40 teachers from different schools of MP and 10 teachers of Graphite School took part in the training session. A Career Resource Centre, consisting of a variety of career information, and equipment was set up in the school premises which would help students in choosing the best career for their life.

CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP

The CBSE training program for teachers was wonderful, knowledgeable, inspirable and enthusiastic for the development of students. During two days of the program, there were five sessions of different activities and topics. The training started with the warm welcome of resource persons by the Principal of Graphite School. After that our resource persons began the session with the activity-based introduction of all the 43 participants who were from different schools.

This review was commissioned by the Department of Education as part of its development program to achieve an Excellence in Mathematics strategy for the province. This strategy arose out of concerns about the adequacy of the mathematics curriculum in the region. These concerns centered on perceptions that students are expected to achieve too many outcomes, that the program pays inadequate attention to basic mathematical skills and operations, and that the textbooks in some grades are inadequate.

CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME

A workshop on Capacity Building Programme on the Topic Gender Sensitivity was held on 19th December 2018 in VKV, Rishabhdev School organized by CBSE. A total of 61 teachers from different schools attended the program. The resource persons were Mr. Sanjay Tiwari (Head School Education regional training center Kailash Nagar, Nimbahera and Mr. Sandeep Kumar Lath (Principal Poddar International School Mehsana, Gujarat. This program helped the teachers to understand the meaning of Gender and its related key terms. It also helped to learn Gender Sensitivity pedagogy. It is the first Capacity Building Programme conducted in the history of VKV, Rishabhdev School.

ART INTEGRATED LEARNING - A JOYFUL APPROACH TO LEARNING

Art is fundamental to the healthy development of children’s minds and spirits. Aiming to take learning experience closer to children’s heart, LNJ Bhilwara organised an Art Integrated Learning workshop from 11 th -15 th June, 2018 for Group schools. The five-day workshop was attended by 30 teachers from VKV – Hurda, VKV – Rishabhdev, VVV – Maral, Graphite School – Mandideep. Dr Ashok Arora and Dr Pawan Sudhir, both prominent AIL educationists have been instrumental in guiding and aiding teachers for an impactful change in attitude, approach and effort to reach out to every child, thereby covering all the three domains such as cognitive, affective and psychomotor.

Teachers have started designing lessons that highlight content through art. They feel liberated and understand their greater roles as educators, facilitators and harbingers of knowledge in developing 21 st century skills.

Life skills workshop

Today’s child is the future of tomorrow. Keeping this in mind, it is necessary to help children learn to fish, explore, discover, observe, experiment, analyze, solve problems, adapt, learn from oneself, others, the past and eventually learn to lead. Life Skills training was conducted at Corporate Office, LNJ Bhilwara Group, Delhi on April 20, 2018. Teachers of all the four group schools attended the training which was conducted by resource persons Smt. Padmamalini Rao, Ms. Protima Naidu, and Ms Anita Nayyar.

The training centered on the understanding of Blooms’ Taxonomy (cognitive, affective and sensory domains), Gardeners’ Multiple Intelligences and UN17 sustainable goals, initiatives of Soka Gakkai International on four Cs of learning (critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity) for the 21st century. Teachers were trained to keep the UN17 sustainable goals in mind and groom students to understand that they are patriots, assets to the nation and global citizens. The training was a step to help teachers develop values, craft a humanistic world and develop happy, empowered children of the future.

Art Integrated Learning Workshop

LNJ Bhilwara Group organized an Art Integrated Learning workshop for schools under LNJ Group. The three-day workshop was attended by 22 teachers from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (Hurda), Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (Rishabhdev), Vivekanand Vidya Vihar (Maral) and Graphite School (Mandideep). Shri Pankaj Somani, Principal, VKV, Rishabhdev and Ms. Vinita Mishra, Principal, Graphite School, Mandideep, were also present.

Art Integrated Learning is a pedagogy that uses various art forms to assist classroom teaching, making each lesson practical, easily comprehensible, and interesting. The goal is to enable each student, with his unique learning ability, to understand the topic being taught. The workshop was a mix of lectures, presentation and hands-on creativity sessions, led by Dr Ashok Arora. This method is being used in many schools with encouraging results. The training highly motivated the teachers and helped them in taking their creativity to the next level. There has been feedback that the teachers have already started making their lesson plans based on their takeaway from the Art Integrated Learning Workshop.
